SASOP President Dr. Gerhard Grobler, other Board members (Dr. Talatala and myself) and Prof. Solly Ratamane (SASOP International Relations Chair) represented SASOP at a World Psychiatric Association (WPA) regional meeting in Kampala from 6-9 February 2014.

The SASOP delegation presented a symposium at the congress and met with representatives of the WPA, the African Association of Psychiatrists and Allied Professions (AAPAP), as well as with representatives of several individual African associations e.g. the Kenian, Ugandan and Ghanese societies of psychiatrists.

The first notice about the WPA IC in Cape Town 2016 was distributed to delegates.
